Violin making is part science and part art.
Great instruments embody both.

Italian Violin Studios promotes and supports acoustic and aesthetic research into the violin in its various forms.

LEARN MORE

The contemporary violin maker, thanks to a new technical-scientific approach, can reproduce the acoustic quality of the great Italian masterpieces of the past. To recreate the feeling of these instruments, an in-depth knowledge of the originals is essential, and collaboration between luthiers and violinists is equally important. To this end, Italian Violin Studios has developed a method of investigation which includes meetings with musicians to collect data and which guides us through the process of distilling the sound of classic Italian instruments.

PRO
MUSICIANS

Inspired musicians deserve the opportunity to express themselves through the voice of the instrument that best suits them. Italian Violin Studios is dedicated to that commitment by making fine contemporary instruments accessible to gifted young violinists.
